Liebermans Bookstores were started in a West Chester University dorm room in 1991 by a freshman business student, Dan Lieberman. By the end of his junior year, Dan had an impressive following of loyal customers. Wanting to expand this business further, Dan turned to his mother and father for assistance. Dans father took an early retirement from IBM and the timing was just perfect for the Lieberman family to open their first college bookstore! Over ten years later the Lieberman Family now operates a full scale book business with two successful off campus bookstores. Their store in Newark DE is the most popular bookstore at the University of Delaware.
